Buhari Sends List of 19 RECs For Senate Confirmation

President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded a list of 18 nominees for appointment as Resident Electoral Commissioners, RECs, of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to the Senate for confirmation. The request letter was read at the plenary by the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan.   According to President Buhari, his request was in line with the provisions of Section 154 (1) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
