Gunmen Ambush Bullion Van In Anambra

Gunmen ambushed a bullion van in Ufuma, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State on Thursday. Reports say the bullion van was attacked around 4:00 p.m while conveying cash to an undisclosed location. The gunmen followed and shot at the van and security personnel attached to the van. The attack was confirmed by the police spokesperson in the State, deputy superintendent Tochukwu Ikenga, stating that it was a suspected armed robbery attack. He said, “Police operatives attached to the bullion van gallantly repelled the attack.” According to Ikenga, the force have commenced a manhunt for the attackers. EFCC Arrests Kogi House Of Assembly Candidate With N326m, $140,500 Cash

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has nabbed a Kogi State House of Assembly candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, identified as Ismaila Yusuf Atumeyi with about N326million and $140,500 in cash. Nine Ghanaians Jailed For Cannabis Smuggling Into Nigeria

Nine Ghanaians have been sentenced to eight years imprisonment each by the federal high court in Laos for attempting to smuggle cannabis into Nigeria. This was confirmed by the NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, in a statement released on Sunday, noting that the convicts identified as Victor Wuddah, Freeman Gazul, Adotete Joseph, Sottie Moses, Sottie Stephen, Christian Tette, Kanu Okonipa, Daniel Koyepti, and Kanu Natte — were sentenced on Friday. Osun: 43-Year-Old Man Killed by Suspected Cultists

A 43-year-old man named Yinusa Okunloye was killed by suspected cultists in Ofatedo, Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State. Alleged human trafficker, Matthew Bassey was intercepted by The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in an attempt to traffic illicit drugs to Dubai. Catholic Priests Abducted along Expressway in Edo

Two catholic priests traveling along the Benin-Auchi-Abuja Expressway have reportedly been kidnapped. The priests were abducted on Saturday while traveling from Benin to Uromi in Edo state. Shortly after Rev. Fr.
