Gunmen Ambush Bullion Van In Anambra

Gunmen ambushed a bullion van in Ufuma, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State on Thursday. Reports say the bullion van was attacked around 4:00 p.m while conveying cash to an undisclosed location. The gunmen followed and shot at the van and security personnel attached to the van. The attack was confirmed by the police spokesperson in the State, deputy superintendent Tochukwu Ikenga, stating that it was a suspected armed robbery attack. EFCC Arrests Kogi House Of Assembly Candidate With N326m, $140,500 Cash

Nine Ghanaians Jailed For Cannabis Smuggling Into Nigeria

Nine Ghanaians have been sentenced to eight years imprisonment each by the federal high court in Laos for attempting to smuggle cannabis into Nigeria. This was confirmed by the NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, in a statement released on Sunday, noting that the convicts identified as Victor Wuddah, Freeman Gazul, Adotete Joseph, Sottie Moses, Sottie Stephen, Christian Tette, Kanu Okonipa, Daniel Koyepti, and Kanu Natte — were sentenced on Friday. Osun: 43-Year-Old Man Killed by Suspected Cultists

A 43-year-old man named Yinusa Okunloye was killed by suspected cultists in Ofatedo, Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State. Catholic Priests Abducted along Expressway in Edo

Two catholic priests traveling along the Benin-Auchi-Abuja Expressway have reportedly been kidnapped. The priests were abducted on Saturday while traveling from Benin to Uromi in Edo state. Shortly after Rev. Fr. Christopher Odia of the St. Michael Catholic Church, located around the Edo North Senatorial District was kidnapped and killed, two other priests, Rev.Fathers Udo Peter and Philemon were also kidnapped in the same state.
