Drunk Corporal Crushes Army General To Death In Lagos

A brigadier-general in the Nigerian Army identified as Audu James has lost his life in an auto crash in Lagos. James who was the monitor-general of the senior executive course, Sec, 40 at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPPS, Karu, Plateau State, passed on from injuries sustained after he was smashed by a car on Tuesday. Nine Ghanaians Jailed For Cannabis Smuggling Into Nigeria

Nine Ghanaians have been sentenced to eight years imprisonment each by the federal high court in Laos for attempting to smuggle cannabis into Nigeria. This was confirmed by the NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, in a statement released on Sunday, noting that the convicts identified as Victor Wuddah, Freeman Gazul, Adotete Joseph, Sottie Moses, Sottie Stephen, Christian Tette, Kanu Okonipa, Daniel Koyepti, and Kanu Natte — were sentenced on Friday. NDLEA Destroys N2Billion Worth of Illicit Drugs in Akwa Ibom

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, revealed about N2 billion worth of illicit drugs has been destroyed by the agency between 2014 and September 2021 in Akwa Ibom. The Agency’s Secretary, Mr. Shedrach Haruna, who represented the NDLEA Chairman, retired Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa, said this when he visited the State Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo in Uyo on Thursday. EFCC Recovers 1.4 Billion Naira Meant for The NHIS

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, reveals that a sum of N1.4 Billion which was meant for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), has been recovered. The commission made a statement on its official Twitter page which said the sum was included in the funds that some commercial banks wrongly refused to remit to the Treasury Single Account since 2015. Osun: 43-Year-Old Man Killed by Suspected Cultists

A 43-year-old man named Yinusa Okunloye was killed by suspected cultists in Ofatedo, Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State. The Osun Police Command disclosed the news, reporting that suspected cultists broke into Yinusa’s residence and shot him dead around midnight on Saturday.
