Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has suspended his chief of staff, Anthony Agbazuere. This was announced in a short statement released on Sunday. The statement was signed by the secretary to the state government, Chris Ezem reads: ”Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the immediate suspension from office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr ACB Agbazuere,” the short statement read.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled emergency meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC) on December 8. One Feared Dead As Armed Robbers Attack Ondo Bank

Pandemonium ensued in Ode Irele town, the headquarters of Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State on Thursday when some armed robbers attacked a branch of Union Bank Plc in the town. According to an eyewitness, the bandits numbering nine stormed the bank about 4.10 pm and carted away money while one person was feared killed. The eyewitness said the robbers gained entrance into the bank, after using explosives suspected to be dynamite to blast the bullet-proof door and spent over 45 minutes on the operation. 138 NYSC Members Test Positive for COVID-19 —NCDC

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Monday  disclosed that a total of 138 members of the National Youth Service Corps have tested positive for COVID-19. Disclosing this during the briefing by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja, the NDDC Director-General, Chikwe Ihekweazu, said the safe reopening of the NYSC orientation camps across the country was successful. He stated that none of those who tested positive was allowed into the camps. Social activist, Eromosele Adene, has finally regained his freedom from unjust detention of the Nigeria Police Force. Adene was arrested by the police on November 7 from his home in Ikeja, Lagos. He was taken to Abuja for interrogation before he was returned to Lagos for trial after 10 days. He was arraigned in court on four count charges of cyber-stalking and activities likely to cause breach of peace. He was granted bail on Tuesday by Magistrate Folarin Williams of the Yaba Magistrate Court. Christian Obodo Regains Freedom After Abduction By Gunmen

Former Super Eagles midfielder, Christian Obodo, who was reported to have been kidnapped on Sunday evening by gunmen in a Delta community, has been freed by the abductors. It was gathered that the ex-international was abducted by gunmen along the Refinery Road in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State alongside a female friend when he stopped by to buy banana at about 5pm. It was learnt that both Obodo and the lady friend were released by their captors on Sunday night.
