Lagos Sports Summer Camp Holds from August 31

The Lagos State maiden multi-sports camp for children between ages 9 and 16, tagged "Lagos Sports Summer Camp", will kick-off at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos on Saturday, 31st August 2019. According to the Director-General, Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr. Oluwatoyin Gafaar, the Sports Summer Camp will be an avenue to train students across the five divisions of Lagos State. The six-day sporting event, holding from 31st August to 5th September 2019, is aimed at exposing the participants to some sports which include Athletics,  Table-Tennis, Basketball, Taekwondo, Judo, Swimming, Squash and Volleyball. The Lagos State House of Assembly has called for the ban and sales of consumption of "Sokundaye" and other hazardous liquid substance in the state. The Speaker of the House, Hon. National Youth Games: LSSC Conducts Screening for Athletes

The Lagos State Sports Commission, LSSC, has conducted screening for all Athletes who will represent the State at the forthcoming Fifth National Youth Games holding in Ilorin, Kwara State from 7th to 17th September 2019. The exercise, which took place inside the main bowl of the Teslim Balogun Stadium and conducted by LSSC and some of the Sports Associations’ Officials, was embarked upon to ensure that only eligible athletes from Lagos participate in the multi-games competition. Over 25,000 Candidates Register on Ogun State’s Job Portal

The Ogun State government  has said over 25,000 unemployed youths have registered with the state Job Portal opened last week Thursday.
