Attempt to Clamp Down on Protesters with Soldiers will Turn #EndSARS into #EndNigeria Movement – Fani-Kayode

Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has warned the Federal Government to handle the ongoing protest against police brutality with “utmost maturity and restraint and in a peaceful, rational and reasonable manner.” Fani-Kayode said this in a post on his official Facebook page on Sunday in reaction to the announcement by the army to launch operation crocodile smile on Tuesday.   The Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter, Lekan Biliamin-Oba, has condemned the attack on #EndSARS protesters by thugs. Biliamin-Oba disclosed this during a press conference held on Friday. The President Muhammadu Buhari administration has agreed to release N30 billion to pay earned academic allowance to lecturers of universities. The allowance will be paid in tranches between May 2021 and February 2022.   The Federal Government on Thursday announced the re-opening of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camps across the country. The Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare made the announcement via Twitter adding that the orientation camps are scheduled for reopening on November 10. “The Resumption of the NYSC Orientation Camp for prospective Youth Corpers has been approved and opens on November 10th, 2020.
