It's no longer news that Russia has invaded parts of Ukraine and that people are fleeing the now threatened country. What may however be news to some is that blacks may be the victims of marginalization and even ill-treatment as people try to flee. Oyetola Declares 24-hour Curfew in Osun

Osun State governor, Gboyega Oyetola, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on the state. The Governor who made the announcement in a statewide broadcast on Saturday said the curfew was necessitated by the unrest in the state caused by hoodlums. Oyetola said the curfew, which takes immediate effect, is indefinite. Violent Clash in Enugu Claims Lives of ‘21’ IPOB Members, Two DSS Operatives (See Video)

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed that 21 of its members were killed in a violent clash with security operatives and 47 others arrested in Emene, Enugu State on Sunday. The Department of State Services (DSS) has also alleged that two of its operatives were killed by members of the IPOB. The claims were made by the IPOB and SSS in separate statements on Sunday. The clash left residents of the neighborhood gripped with fear as armed police officers and soldiers were deployed to ensure normalcy returns to the area. A road safety officer had the misfortune of hitting a Benz G-wagon while drunk-driving. Road safety officers are usually dreaded by road users because of their eagerness to pounce on real and perceived road safety related infractions. It was therefore a shock to see one of such officials driving on the express fully drunk. It is not clear how the FRSC will handle this matter as Nigerians have been complaining about the many excesses of this body. Many times, their vehicles are not road worthy, begging the question - who watches the watcher? The speech was given on May 14 2018 at the commissioning of the Police Intelligence Unit at Kano. It is not clear what happened or if he was not privy to the speech.
