Lagos Govt Debunks Media Reports on Abolition of Wealth Creation Ministry

The Lagos State Government has denounced a report in a section of the media alleging that the Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has abolished the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment. A statement issued by the Public Affairs Unit of the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment stated that the Ministry was created via an Executive Order (No. EO/AA.OI.2015) of June 17, 2015, to create sustainable wealth for Lagos citizens as well as promote and sustain entrepreneurship, through effective use of strategies and resources, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Over 25,000 Candidates Register on Ogun State’s Job Portal

The Ogun State government has said over 25,000 unemployed youths have registered with the state Job Portal opened last week Thursday. Lagos Emergency Workers Protests, Demand 5 Month Unpaid Salary

Some members of staff of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency Response Unit (LRU) on Friday protested demanding the payment of over five months' salary arrears owed by the Lagos State government. The protest which was staged at Alausa, Ikeja saw the staff with placard of various inscriptions The report gathered that the large number of workers who had reportedly stopped reporting for work, the number of agents at the LRU call centre had been depleted.
