The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has meted out punishment on one of its officers responsible for recording and leaking a video of Ex-Anambra Governor, Willie Obiano in custody. Obiano trended on social media on Sunday after a video footage of him clad in shirts and shorts in an EFCC detention facility emerged online. EFCC Denies Obiano Bail, May Get Court Order To Hold Him

Immediate-past governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano, who was arrested on Thursday night at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, en route United States of America, has been denied administrative bail by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). According to EFCC sources, Obiano is being interrogated and detained over alleged embezzlement of funds during his eight-year tenure as governor. The source said that the anti-graft agency will keep Obiano in its Abuja office throughout the weekend, and may likely secure an order from a Magistrate Court to detain him for more days. Kidnapper Rejects ₦200k Share Of ₦12m Ransom, Reports Injustice To Police

A self-confessed kidnapper in Adamawa State, Sadu Bunkawu, has rejected a share of N200,000 from a ransom of N12 million and reported his fellow gang members to the police. Describing his share as a product of high level of injustice, Bunkawu said he expects the police to correct the injustice. Alleging that the other six members of the kidnapping gang conspired and gave him the N200, 000 only out of the huge N12 million they collected as ransom, the 28-year-old Bunkawu of Filingo village in the Jada Local Government Area, Adamawa State, said he could not happily collect such a share. Embattled Police Officer, Abba kyari has claimed that his health has deteriorated badly since his detention by the National Drug law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.
