The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has said that new policies that will regulate the operations of Okada in the state are underway. The Governor made this revelation on Friday while giving an account of his stewardship in the first 100 days in office at De Blue Roof of Lagos Television in Agidingbi, Ikeja. Two BRT Buses Involved in a Head-on Collision

Two BRT buses were involved in a head-on collision on Monday at Asolo, Ikorodu road in Lagos while trying to avoid knocking down Okada riders who were illegally plying the route. This was confirmed by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) via their official Twitter handle. The accident which occurred on the BRT corridor resulted in traffic gridlock as onlookers flood the scene of the crash. Although the casualty figures are yet to be confirmed as at the time of this report, eyewitnesses said many who were injured have been taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Ondo State Officially Bans Okada Riders on Ore Expressway

The Ondo State Government on Thursday officially ban the operations of commercial motorcycles, popularly called `Okada’ on the Ore Expressway following the frequent incidences of crimes in the area. The State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Donald Ojogo, disclosed this in a press statement he made available to newsmen in Akure. The Lagos State government taskforce on Tuesday commenced the demolition of shanties along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway after the expiration of 7-days ultimatum issued to the traders. Lagos Task Force Orders Removal of Illegal Structures, Kiosks on Badagry Expressway

The operatives of the Lagos State Task Force Lagos State Taskforce on Wednesday ordered the removal of all illegal structures, Kiosks and the end to commercial activities along Badagry Expressway within seven days.
