Lagos Assembly Worries over Entry of Unchecked Foreign Nationals into the State

Lagos State House of Assembly has expressed dissatisfaction over the unchecked migration of foreign nationals into the State, expressing security concern and the need to arrest the situation immediately. Hon. Agunbiade reiterated that recently vehicles used to convey cows to Lagos are now utilized to migrate up to fifty people into the State on regular basis without any check by security agencies. He expressed fear over this trend because instruments of mass destruction and guns could also be brought into the State in such an unfiltered manner. Lagos  State House  of Assembly on Thursday condemned in strong terms the xenophobic attacks by South Africans on Nigerians living in their country. The condemnation is sequel to a motion moved by Hon. Tunde Braimoh under Matters of Urgent Public Importance. Hon Braimoh had drawn the attention of other lawmakers to recent brutal attacks on Nigerians and their businesses in South Africa, where many lives were lost and several Nigerians brutally assaulted and killed.
