Northern Governors, Gumi Condemn Murder of Deborah, Appeal for Calm

Deborah Samuel Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) and Kaduna-based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, yesterday, joined the growing number of groups and individuals that have condemned last Thursday’s mob killing of Deborah Samuel, a student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, for alleged blasphemy against Prophet Mohammed. Reno Omokri Former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has reacted to claims of Muslim youths looking for Christian youths in Sokoto State. Deborah’s Killing Distressing – Osinbajo Finally Reacts, Commends Buhari, Sultan Of Sokoto

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has condemned the killing of a 200-level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto, Deborah Samuel. Osinbajo described Deborah’s murder over alleged blasphemy as deeply distressing. He said there was no justification for extra-judicial killing because there were legal channels of addressing any misdeed.
