Oyetola Expresses Desire To Govern Osun Again As He Hands Over

Gboyega Oyetola, the outgoing governor of Osun State has said his goodbye to the state as he ends his four-year reign today, November 27, 2022. Oyetola in a farewell message issued on Saturday said he would hand over as a law-abiding citizen, noting that the outcome of the Osun State governorship poll where Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, emerged as the governor was still being challenged in court.   He also expressed optimism that he would govern the State again, as he expected victory from the court. Oyetola Appoints 30 PS Three Days To Handover

Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State has appointed 30 civil servants as permanent secretaries. The appointees were contained in a statement issued by the Head of Service, Dr Festus Oyebade on Thursday. According to the statement, the appointees would fill existing vacancies in the state civil service. Gunmen Ambush Bullion Van In Anambra

Gunmen ambushed a bullion van in Ufuma, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State on Thursday. Reports say the bullion van was attacked around 4:00 p.m while conveying cash to an undisclosed location. The gunmen followed and shot at the van and security personnel attached to the van. The attack was confirmed by the police spokesperson in the State, deputy superintendent Tochukwu Ikenga, stating that it was a suspected armed robbery attack. Mele Kyari, the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, formerly Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, has stated that it cannot retain a pump price of N170 per litre for Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as petrol.
