We’ll Recruit Teachers to Maximise Quality Training – Sanwo-Olu

Two BRT Buses Involved in a Head-on Collision

Two BRT buses were involved in a head-on collision on Monday at Asolo, Ikorodu road in Lagos while trying to avoid knocking down  Okada riders who were illegally plying the route. This was confirmed by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) via their official Twitter handle. The accident which occurred on the BRT corridor resulted in traffic gridlock as onlookers flood the scene of the crash. Although the casualty figures are yet to be confirmed as at the time of this report, eyewitnesses said many who were injured have been taken to the hospital for medical treatment. The event held at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja was organised in collaboration with the European Union (EU)-funded Rule of Law and Anti Collaboration Programme and Nigeria Policing Programme, was aimed at sensitising religious organisations and ensuring adequate response to complaints of sexual and gender-based violence in the State. The Lagos State Sports Commission, LSSC, has conducted screening for all Athletes who will represent the State at the forthcoming Fifth National Youth Games holding in Ilorin, Kwara State from 7th to 17th September 2019.
