Gunmen attack at the the Kuje Custodial Centre in Abuja yesterday caused major panic as residents feared for their lives. The suspected terrorist attack was carried out in a deliberate attempt to force entry and free some prisoners.   Reports say three bomb blasts were heard within the correctional facility with the first one occurring around 10;25pm. Police Rescue Italian Catholic Priest Abducted In Edo, Kill 3 Suspects

An Italian Catholic Priest, Fr. Luigi Brena, who was kidnapped along Ogunwenyi, Usen community in Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo State has been rescued by the police. This was confirmed by Jennifer Iwegbu, the Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Police Command. Iwegbu said men of the Nigerian police killed three of the suspects after the clergy was abducted on Sunday in the evening.   There have been cases of kidnapping of clergymen in Edo and across Nigeria.
