Nollywood Stars Suspected to Have Been Kidnapped by Gunmen

Nollywood stars Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornell have reportedly been abducted by suspected gunmen after returning from a movie set in Enugu. Monalisa Chinda of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) disclosed the information on her Instagram page. She stated that the film stars were declared missing by their family members when they didn’t return from a movie set located at Ozalla Town in Enugu State. The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) advised members to stop going to cities’ outskirts to film unless security was provided. Police Arrest Syndicate Who Buy Cars With Fake Bank Alerts In Enugu

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested 11 criminal suspects for different offences, including murder, kidnapping, child trafficking, armed robbery and stealing. Parading the suspects on Thursday at the state police headquarters, the Commissioner of Police, Mr Abubakar Lawal, told journalists that they were arrested within the month. Among the 11 suspects were Odoh Tochukwu, Ifenyinwa Okonkwo and Ogbodo Emmanuel, who were alleged to be fraudsters who specialised in stealing vehicles from car dealers with fake bank alerts. Following a meeting of stakeholders in the education sector on Monday, the Enugu State Ministry of Education has announced January 18, 2021, as resumption date for all schools in the state. This was contained in a statement by the State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Uche Eze. Violent Clash in Enugu Claims Lives of ‘21’ IPOB Members, Two DSS Operatives (See Video)

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed that 21 of its members were killed in a violent clash with security operatives and 47 others arrested in Emene, Enugu State on Sunday. The Department of State Services (DSS) has also alleged that two of its operatives were killed by members of the IPOB. The claims were made by the IPOB and SSS in separate statements on Sunday. The clash  left residents of the neighborhood gripped with fear as armed police officers and soldiers were deployed to ensure normalcy returns to the area.
