#ENDSARS: Thugs Raze Ondo PDP Secretariat

The Ondo State Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been set ablaze by thugs in the state capital, Akure. This development is coming some hours after the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress was also razed. The APC had earlier blamed the PDP for the attack on its secretariat while the PDP was yet to respond before the hoodlums attacked. Two vehicles parked within the premises of the Ondo PDP secretariat were razed. The Spokesman of Ondo PDP , Kenney Peretei, described the action as barbaric adding that it was shocking for the party’s secretariat to be razed few hours after the APC accused it of burning its secretariat.

Scores Killed as Violence Erupts in Abuja Community Over #EndSARS Protest

Three people were allegedly killed in Dutse, Bwari Area Council of Abuja on Tuesday as protesters clashed with police operatives. A video which was obtained by African News Today shows a vehicle ablaze as onlookers were gathered around the scene. The voice over in the video claimed police operatives killed three protesters in Dutse, leading to burning of a government vehicle by angry youths. The development comes a day after videos trended on social media showing cars set ablaze by thugs in Apo, Abuja. Nationwide protests have been ongoing for over 13 days nationwide, calling for an end to police brutality and police reform. #ENDSARS: Oyo Schools Forced to Close as Protests Continue

Most public and private schools in Oyo state have suspended academic activities as at Tuesday morning, African News Today observed. Although there has not been any official by the State Government over the closing of schools, most private schools said the decision was taken as a result of the hardship students experienced by students due to the #EndSARS protest in major parts of the state on Monday. Most proprietors maintained that the safety and security of the children is paramount while the protests last informed the decision.   Some suspected thugs on Monday morning broke into the Benin Prison popularly known as White House on Sapele road, Benin and freed inmates. The thugs broke parts of the wall, climbing the high fence into the prison to free the inmates. The thugs were reported to have overpowered officials of the prison who confronted them in heavy gunshots. A 24-hour curfew has been declared by the Godwin Obaseki led Edo state government. This curfew is to commence from 4pm today, the 19th of October across the state. NECO Reschedules Exam Due to #EndSARS Blockade  

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced postponement of the Paper 1 Computer Studies Practical scheduled to take play on today due to blockade occasioned by the persistent #EndSARS protest. The examination body said the paper has now be rescheduled to take place on November 16. This was disclosed in a statement by Head of Information and Public Relations Division of NECO, Azeez Sani on Sunday.
