Gbajabiamila Reveals Security Aide Who Shot Abuja Vendor Dead

Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila has revealed identity of a security aide attached to his convoy, who shot a vendor, Ifeanyi Okereke on Thursday at the Federal Secretariat in Abuja. The Speaker identified the security aide as Abdullahi Hassan. Hassan, he said, has been handed over to the appropriate authorities for investigation as well as administrative and judicial actions. The Speaker, who has been advocating reforms of the security system, however said he will ensure the family of the late vendor gets justice. NSCDC Dismisses Officer Caught on Tape Looting COVID-19 Palliatives

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has dismissed an officer Corps Assistant Illiya Ibrahim of the Gwagwalada Division, Abuja, who was caught on tape participating in the looting of COVID-19 palliatives discovered in the area. The Media Assistant to the Commandant General NSCDC, Ekunola Gbenga, disclosed this in a statement released in Abuja on Tuesday. He said the Commandant General Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu approved the recommendation of the Junior Staff Disciplinary Committee for the dismissal of Illiya. Residents of Byazhin Across, Kubwa a suburb in the Bwari Area Council of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja who have long clamored government’s intervention to fix their deplorable road have been rescued from their misery by “Able women.” The group which is made up of 10 women has taken it upon themselves to fix the road which has long been abandoned in an unmotorable manner causing untold hardship on motorists.
