US To Impose Visa Ban On Individuals Who Seek To Undermine Nigeria’s Democratic Process

The United States of America has vowed to impose visa ban on individuals who attempt to undermine Nigeria’s democratic process in the 2023 general elections. This was disclosed by the political counselor at the US Embassy in Nigeria, Rolf Olson, when he spoke at the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship alumni association seminar on Thursday. Olson said the US would not hesitate to impose sanctions on individuals who undermine the country’s election just like they have done in previous elections. INEC: New Voters Registrations Hit 10.4 million

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) disclosed that the registrations of Nigerians in the Continuous Voters Registration hit 10.4 million. The commission also stated that a total of 11 million registrants had their registration completed as of Tuesday. It was also revealed that 3.3 million of the registrants requested their registration online while 7.6 million registrants went for physical registration. The commission also gave a gender analysis of registrants as 5,453,071 males and 5,558,048 females out of which 80,101 are persons with disabilities, completed their registration.
