Confusion in Eagles Camp As Akpeyi and Ezenwa Hit Eagles Camp

There is a mild confusion in the Super Eagles camp in Benin city following the arrival of goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi who was earlier reported to be having Visa issues into the country. The development led to the invitation of third choice goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa. Ezenwa had earlier arrived the camp on Tuesday on invitation by the team handlers in a precautionary measure to fill the void left by Daniel Akpeyi. However, the Kaizer Chiefs shot stopper arrived Lagos today, quelling all speculations about his unavailability for the match. Ikechukwu Ezenwa was originally on the standby list of the team but has not played professional football since March following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Commercial banks in Ikere-Ekiti, the headquarters of Ikere Council Area of Ekiti State on Tuesday shut down operations following the alleged withdrawal of service by policemen. According to a report by The Nation, financial institutions as well as Point of Terminal(POS) outlets were under lock and key due to fear of being attacked over alleged absence of policemen. Findings also indicated that there had been no police officer in the town following the burning of two police stations and destruction of the Area Command by hoodlums during the #ENDSARS protests. Again, WAEC Extends Registration for WASSCE Private Candidates

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has further extended registration for its 2020 West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination for private candidates. The council disclosed the extension via its official Twitter handle, @waecnigeria on Friday. WAEC explained that the new registration deadline is Friday, November 13, 2020. The tweet reads: "WASSCE FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES, 2020 - SECOND SERIES: FURTHER EXTENSION OF REGISTRATION PERIOD Intending candidates should note that there has been a further extension of the registration period to Friday, November 13, 2020."
