Explosion Hits Wike Father’s Church, Police Nab Suspects

The Rivers State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has nabbed three suspects for allegedly detonating explosives at a church, located at Mile 3, Diobu area of Port Harcourt. The church, Christian Universal Church International is reported to be owned by the father of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike. The suspects numbering about five raided the church around 8 pm on Saturday, Punch reports. Local vigilante group in the area blockaded the gunmen’s escape route after noticing abnormal movements and interfered. Gunmen kill Ondo Monarch

Suspected kidnappers have killed a first-class traditional ruler in Ondo State, the Oluifon of Ifon in Ose Local Government Area, Oba Israel Adeusi. According to reports, Oba Adeusi was  shot about 5:50pm near Elegbeka village along the Benin-Akure highway while returning to his community after a meeting in Akure. Sources said he was confirmed dead at a private hospital where he was rushed to. It was gathered that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu canceled all his official engagements when he heard of the killing. The kidnappers were said to have also abducted two persons at the same spot. Police spokesman, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, who confirmed the killing, said all police divisions within the Ondo North axis have been mobilised to arrest the perpetrators.

One Feared Dead As Armed Robbers Attack Ondo Bank

Pandemonium ensued in Ode Irele town, the headquarters of Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State on Thursday when some armed robbers attacked a branch of Union Bank Plc in the town. According to an eyewitness, the bandits numbering nine stormed the bank about 4.10 pm and carted away money while one person was feared killed. A  student union leader in one of the institutions in Kaduna, Comrade Auwal Rabiu, has been confirmed killed, as gunmen suspected to be kidnappers attacked motorists on the road linking the Kaduna international airport and the Rigasa station of the Kaduna-Abuja train. Army Personnel Arrive Probe Venue, to Present Footage of Lekki Shootings

Army personnel attached to the 81 Division, have arrived the venue of the inquiry into the alleged shooting of peaceful #EndSARS protesters by soldiers at the Lekki tollgate area of Lagos on October 20. The Army had submitted the names of three Lieutenant Generals and a Lieutenant Colonel who will testify before the panel in response to invitation by the retired Justice Doris Okuwobi-headed Judicial Panel of Inquiry, Punch reports.
