Davido Offers to Pay Hospital Bills of Victims of Lekki Shooting

Nigerian singer David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has inquired about the medical bills of victims of the Lekki toll gate shooting that took place yesterday in Lagos State. Footages surface online yesterday depicting violent scenes at the Lekki toll gate yesterday, resulting in death and injury to scores of civilians. A 24-hour curfew has been declared by the Godwin Obaseki led Edo state government. This curfew is to commence from 4pm today, the 19th of October across the state. MultiChoice claims that reports on social media that its entertainment platforms – DStv and GOtv- have been hacked were untrue. A representative of the company who pleaded anonymity told The PUNCH on Sunday. African News Today gathered that the Pay-TV company had earlier informed its subscribers via text messages of an imminent system upgrade. The company told its subscribers that its services would be offline as it would be upgrading its system from 11pm on October 17 to 4pm on October 19, 2020. Super Eagles and Napoli forward, Victor Osihmen has joined the growing number of youths protesting against police brutality in Nigeria.
