Senior Advocate of Nigeria and respected human rights activist, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, has noted that removing of a camera at the Lekki Toll by the former Lagos Governor and current minister for works, Babatunde Raji Fashola, amounts to evidence tampering. Scores of Children Killed as Gunmen Invade School in Cameroon

At least six children have been killed and eight injured in Cameroon on Saturday as gunmen invaded a school, shooting recklessly in an area where separatist insurgents have been on rampage. Reuters reports that the gunmen arrived the school with motorcycles around midday in the city of Kumba in South West Region. It was not uncertain if the violence was linked to an ongoing struggle between the army and secessionist groups seeking for an independent state known as Ambazonia in the English-speaking west. Osun State governor, Gboyega Oyetola, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on the state.   Some suspected thugs on Monday morning broke into the Benin Prison popularly known as White House on Sapele road, Benin and freed inmates. The thugs broke parts of the wall, climbing the high fence into the prison to free the inmates. The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, has announced the immediate dissolution of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) effective from Sunday, 11th October.
