Gunmen kidnap Councillor in A’Ibom

Police on Tuesday confirmed the kidnap of Mr Samuel Ben, councillor representing Ward 6 Central in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom. Police Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko Macdon, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Eket. EFCC Arrests 3 Spiritualists For ₦16M Get-Rich-Quick Scam In Maiduguri

Operatives of the Maiduguri Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested a self-acclaimed spiritualist, Mohammed Ibrahim, and his accomplice, Ibrahim Abubakar for allegedly defrauding one Mohammed Gaji of the sum of N16, under the guise of conducting spiritual prayers to make him (Gaji) rich, IgbereTV reports. Two mobile policemen and one civilian have been shot dead by gunmen suspected to be armed robbers in a bullion van attack in Ondo State. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested here armed bandits on an alleged mission Katsina State. The suspects: Adamu Shehu, Tukur Mohammed, and Ibrahim Suleiman were reportedly in possession of three AK-47 rifles and other dangerous items. Abidemi Rufai, the suspended Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, allegedly defrauded Washington State Employment Security Department using 10 different means, a court document has revealed. In the document, Rufai was said to have submitted over 100 claims to the Washington Employment Department, and had also submitted additional claims to the state workforce agencies for other states.
