ASUU Strike – Buhari Gives The Minister of Education Two Weeks Ultimatum

Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has instructed the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu to resolve the ongoing ASUU strike within the next two weeks. President Buhari gave the instruction during a meeting with certain Ministers and heads of Federal Government agencies concerned with the situation surrounding the action taken by the Academic Staff Union of Universities. Super Falcons Fail to Qualify for 2022 WAFCON Final

The Super Falcons have been eliminated from the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) by the competition’s host, Morocco. Morocco eliminated the Nigeria women’s team in the semifinals at the ongoing WAFCON competition on penalty shootouts as the game ended in a draw at full time and extra time. The first goal came in the second half, which was an own goal by falcon player Yasmin Mrabet to the advantage of the Moroccans. Seven Wedding Guests Killed by Suspected Gunmen in Imo

Seven wedding guests have reportedly been killed in Imo State by gunmen suspected to be Ebubeagu Security Operatives on Sunday. The Incident caused unrest in the state as the news surfaced on Monday. The wedding guests were returning from a traditional wedding that took place in Awommamaa in Oru West Local Government Area and they were heading back to their community in Otulu in Oru East Local Government Area. NDDC Official Kidnapped by Gunmen in Imo State

Engineer Kingsley Okorafor has been abducted by unknown gunmen near his residence in Umuadara Umulogho Autonomous Community, Obowo Local Government Area of Imo state. The community not far away from a military checkpoint was thrown into panic, when an official of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) went missing in the early hours of Saturday. A family member disclosed that the abductee went to the vigil of the late traditional ruler of Ndihu, Eze innocent Anyawu on Friday night.
