More than one Month after Abuja Concert, Naira Marley Yet to be Prosecuted

As Nigeria battle to contain the spread of COVID-19, the country in line with global containment measure imposed a nationwide lockdown.   The imposed lock down restricted inter-state travels across Nigeria. COVID-19: Tunisia Bars Ships of French Transport Company, Corsica Linea from Anchoring on its Ports

Tunisia has banned the ships of French transport company Corsica Linea from docking on its shores as crew test positive for COVID-19. Habib Ghedira, member of Tunisia’s committee to confront the COVID-19 was quoted by Mosaique FM radio on Saturday to have said that that the decision was taken by government to preempt spread of the disease in the North African country. This came after many crew members of a ship belonging to Corsica Linea company, which operated the Marseille-Tunis route from July 1 to July 10, tested positive for COVID-19. Nigerian Air Force Arrests Two Persons over Death of Country’s First Female Combat Helicopter Pilot

The Nigerian Air Force has confirmed that two persons have been arrested over the death of Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot as investigation was launched to unravel circumstances leading to the death of the Flying officer in a road mishap last week. Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, NAF Director f Public Relations and Information in a communique said the force will disclose findings after investigation. Daramola said that the Arotile would be laid to rest at the National Cemetery, Abuja on Thursda, July 23 in maximum military honours. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 653 new cases of COVID-19, in the country. U.S Gives Conditions for Lifting Sanctions Imposed on South Sudan

The United States has asked South Sudan to intensify its efforts at achieving sustainable peace and kicking out corruption if arms embargo and other sanctions imposed on the country would be lifted. It was disclosed by outgoing ambassador of the U.S to South Sudan, Thomas Hushek.
