Ernest Shonekan Buried In ₦30 Million Vault, ₦8 Million Casket 

Former Head of the Interim National Government (ING) Ernest Shonekan was on Friday buried in an over N30 million vault in Lagos. Temitope Alebiosu, a staff member of Ebony Vaults, Ikoyi, the funeral company that handled the ceremony, informed The ICIR in a telephone interview that the cost of the vault was above N30 million. The Lagos State Government has said it will be diverting traffic along Inner Marina to Outer Marina by Oando Filling Station due to the burial service of the late former Head of Interim Government, Chief Ernest Shonekan. Suspected hoodlums have attacked some supporters of the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregebsola, under the All Progressives Congress. Reports indicate that Aregbesola’s supporters were attacked on Tuesday at a political meeting in Ikirun.
