The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said the Continuous Voter Registration will remain ongoing across the country pending further instructions.

This was stated in a statement released on Thursday evening.
INEC also directed all political parties that are yet to upload their governorship and state assembly nominated candidates to proceed and upload them to the commission’s portal from 1-15th July.
The statement which followed its meeting on Thursday read, “The Continuous Voter Registration will continue nationwide, and all Resident Electoral Commissioners and Electoral Officers have been directed to continue with the exercise pending further directives.”
The commission reiterated its commitment to give its best to ensure the best electoral services is given to every Nigeria.
INEC also took note of the Federal High Court decision in relation to the CVR, while promising to issue an update to the court.
Commenting on the Certified True Copy Document, the commission noted that parties and applicants of CTC documents will be given an expedited treatment and will be given soon.
The statement further read, “Political parties are advised not to wait until the last day before uploading the list.”.
