Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State is warming up to pick the senatorial form on Monday to contest for the seat of Kano North senatorial district. Ganduje’s decision to pick up the form was reached at the stakeholders meeting held behind closed doors at the government house. A source with privileged information from the meeting said the Governor is expected to pick the nomination and expression of interest forms for the Kano North Senatorial District on Monday. Leaders of the All Progressives Congress in the South-West, on Friday, cautioned presidential aspirants from the zone to guard against their utterances. It was gathered that the meeting, which was held behind closed doors at the Lagos House, Marina, also resolved that name calling and other personal attacks should not be encouraged by the aspirants and their supporters. Reno Omokri There are claims that some presidential aspirants under the All Progressives Congress, APC, would willingly withdraw from the race during the presidential primary of the ruling party. Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri made the claim via his Twitter page on Thursday. According to him, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Rotimi Amaechi, Chris Ngige and Governor Yahaya Bello will be among the aspirants who will withdraw on the day of the APC presidential primary.
