Hon. Chijioke Edeoga, former Enugu Stat commissioner for environment, has become the governorship candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the State.
Recall that Edeoga vied for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ticket in the governorship primary but lost to Barr. Peter Mbah.
He confirmed his emergence as the LP candidate on Sunday after initial speculations in the early hours of Sunday.

There has been calls in some quarters for Edoga to defect to LP to test his popularity at the polls against the PDP candidate.
When contacted by Daily Post on Sunday to comment on his alleged defection, he replied, “yes, it’s true. I’m now the Labour Party governorship candidate.”
