Two Farmers Allegedly Attacked by Herdsmen in Ondo

There has been an alleged attack by herdsmen on two farmers at Ifira-Akoko in Akoko South East Local Government Area of Ondo State.

According to the Daily Post, a youth in the community said two farmers were attacked when trying to stop suspected herdsmen from damaging their farmlands.

He also noted that the herders were infamously known for destroying farmlands at the outskirt of ifira near Idogun in Ose Local government.

The two farmers were identified as Gbenga Omotoriogun and Duro Akadiri and they have been hospitalised as they were in critical conditions after the attack.

The residents of the community have pleaded that the state government should intervene in the situation.
