Two Farmers Allegedly Attacked by Herdsmen in Ondo

There has been an alleged attack by herdsmen on two farmers at Ifira-Akoko in Akoko South East Local Government Area of Ondo State. According to the Daily Post, a youth in the community said two farmers were attacked when trying to stop suspected herdsmen from damaging their farmlands. Gov Soludo Prohibits the Open Grazing of Cattle in Anambra

The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has prohibited the movement and open grazing of cattle in all parts of Anambra State. Governor Soludo made the decision with the members of the Anambra State Cattle Menace Committee at the Government House in Awaka, He said the ban was to complement the 2021 anti-open grazing law of the State. IGP Orders Arrest of Sunday Igboho

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the arrest of Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, over an eviction order on Fulanis in Oyo State. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, confirmed this in an interview with BBC Hausa. He told BBC Hausa the IGP told him on the phone order had been given to the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Ngozi Onadeko, to arrest Igboho immediately and transfer him to Abuja. The Presidency has faulted the seven-day ultimatum issued to herdsmen by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, to vacate forest reserve, urging him not to act outside the constitution of the country. The governor had in a statement on Monday issued herdsmen seven days to leave all forest reserves in the state due to high spate of kidnapping in the state.
