On Thursday Night, terrorists ambushed a military checkpoint near Zuma rock, Madalla town along the Abuja-Kaduna Highway in Niger State.
The terrorists invaded the military checkpoint around 7 pm and attacked the troops killing several soldiers.
Three personnel were confirmed dead from the attack while several others were wounded.

According to news sources, the terrorist took over the area for about 30 minutes before heading to the Kaduna axis of the highway.
Soldiers from the Zuma Barracks along with several policemen were deployed to the checkpoint.
This incident occurred not long after the Presidential Guards Brigade battled a group of terrorists along Kubwa-Bwari road in Abuja. The Presidential Guards is an arm of the military that protects the President of Nigeria.
