WCQ: Cape Verde Arrives Nigeria, Set To Train At Teslim Balogun Stadium

The Blue Sharks of Cape Verde have arrived in Lagos ahead of Tuesday’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash against the Super Eagles of Nigeria. According to a message posted on the Cape Verde Football Federation Instagram page, the players and their officials flew into Lagos on Sunday night. They will train at the venue of the game, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on Monday morning. Super Eagles returnee Odion Ighalo has won the West Asia player of the month of October after his impressive performance for his Saudi Arabia club, Al-Shabab. In a letter addressed to Kida and Prof. Florence Adeyanju, member, Caretaker Committee, NBBF, the sports ministry, thanked the duo for their contributions to the development of basketball in Nigeria.
