Mo Salah Voted Premier League Player Of The Year

Liverpool’s Mo Salah has been voted the men’s Player of the Year in a poll of 400,000 supporters, after netting 32 goals and counting, in all club competitions this calendar year. The Egyptian international was named the best performer in 2021 at the Football Supporters’ Association Awards on Monday. Eagles’ Striker Paul Onuachu Tests Positive for COVID-19 as Club Plans Preseason

Super eagles of Nigeria forward, Paul Onuachu has tested COVID-19 positive as his club KRC Genk prepares for their first pre-season match. Announcing his status, Onuachu who said that he is asymptomatic and feeing well, reports that his Instagram followers have grown by 10,000 after his status was made public. The Nigerian striker was the only member of the Genk squad who tested positive to the virus after the club conducted tests this week in readiness for the resumption of pre-season games. Football: Senegal banned from Nations Cup after riot

Senegal have been disqualified from the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations after a riot forced the abandonment of Saturday's home tie with Ivory Coast. It is not yet clear whether the Confederation of African Football will take further action against Senegal. The match in Dakar was called off after 74 minutes, with Ivory Coast 2-0 up on the night and 6-2 ahead on aggregate. Caf has officially confirmed the result as a 2-0 win for Ivory Coast, sending them through to next year's tournament. Senegal manager Ferdinand Coly said on Sunday that "Senegal will accept the sanctions". He also apologised to Ivory Coast.
