Buhari should speak to Nigerians over Insecurity — Melaye

Former Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to speak directly to Nigerians over the worrisome insecurity across the country. He stated the President cannot continue to speak to Nigerians through his spokespersons — Garba Shehu and Femi Adesina. Melaye spoke on Friday during an interview on Africa Independent Television (AIT) monitored by The Nation. He said: “President Buhari needs to speak to Nigerians directly, he needs to communicate with the media. Our President is absent, and this has negative concomitant effects on the war against insecurity in the country. “It is very pathetic but our President is not available. All we hear is presidency says; we didn’t vote for Garba Shehu or Femi Adesina. “All our security challenges boils down to l...

Femi Adesina: They Should Let Us Breathe

Don’t asphyxiate us, let us breathe. Remove your knees from the neck of Nigeria, and let the country be. What do we owe you, that you make it seem we must never have peace? That was the sum total of the caution given early this week by the Department of State Services (DSS) on the state of the nation. Nigeria is currently undergoing severe security challenges, but rather than team up with government and security agencies to find solutions, some past and present political leaders, disgruntled religious leaders, and ethnic champions are in cahoots, to exacerbate the situation. They are plotting to hold conferences, which would pass a vote of no confidence in President Muhammadu Buhari, a man they so much love to hate. These agent provocateurs were the first to sow the seed of evil, dis...

Fr Mbaka disclosed this on Sunday while giving the homily in a viral video.
