Terror Alert: Remain Vigilant – IGP Asks Citizens

In response to the terror alert issued by the US, Usman Baba, the Inspector-General of Police, has assured residents across the country of the commitment of the force to ensure the safety of lives and properties in collaboration with other security agencies. Akeredolu Confirms Arrest of Suspected Owo Church Attackers

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has confirmed the arrest of five suspects who attacked the St Francis Catholic Church, Owo which left several people dead. Catholic Priests Abducted along Expressway in Edo

Two catholic priests traveling along the Benin-Auchi-Abuja Expressway have reportedly been kidnapped. The priests were abducted on Saturday while traveling from Benin to Uromi in Edo state. Shortly after Rev. Fr. Christopher Odia of the St. Michael Catholic Church, located around the Edo North Senatorial District was kidnapped and killed, two other priests, Rev.Fathers Udo Peter and Philemon were also kidnapped in the same state.
