Buhari Postpones Visit To Ogun Indefinitely

President Muhammadu Buhari has postponed his planned one day official visit to Ogun State, indefinitely. Buhar was billed to visit the State for the commissioning of some of projects of executed by Governor Dapo Abiodun The visit was scheduled for December 21, 2021. Some of the projects listed for commissioning, were the Gateway City Gate, GCG; Sagamu Interchange-Siun-Abeokuta Road; Kobape Housing Estate; King’s Court Estate; and Ijebu Ode-Mojoda-Epe Road. Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has reportedly been banished from first-team training. According to Sportsmail, the player will continue to be exiled from Mikel Arteta’s plans until the end of 2021 at the earliest. Aubameyang’s future with the Gunners is looking increasingly bleak, after he was stripped of the club captaincy on Monday. Arsenal in an official statement, cited his “latest disciplinary breach”. Twitter Removes Osinbajo’s Post For Copyright Violation Of Beyonce’s Song

Twitter has withheld a tweet by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo for copyright violation. On March 8, the vice-president posted a video in commemoration of International Women’s Day. Beyonce’s song ‘Run the World’ was used as the video’s audio. Quoting the tweet that same day, a Twitter user @olayknowless, had asked Beyonce to report Osinbajo’s account for violating the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”). “Ma’am @Beyonce, Nigeria’s current Vice President who has never properly done his job has used your song without permission, ask Jack your good friend to take care of his account In accordance with DMCA violation penalties,” the user wrote. EFCC Raids Abuja Hotel, Arrests Woman, Others With Fake $427,400

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested five members of a syndicate who specialise in counterfeiting foreign currencies, especially the dollar, for sale to unsuspecting members of the public. Acting on intelligence, the commission, in a joint operation with operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, arrested four members of the syndicate on December 8, 2021, at Swiss Pearl Continental Hotel, Koforidua Street, in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja with fake $427,400. The suspects include Fashanu Adesina, John Ogbaje, Emmanuel Bassey and Chidi Nwachukwu. Former Nigeria coach, Adegboye Onigbinde, says the only way the interim coaching crew of the Super Eagles led by Austine Eguavoen can succeed is if they get sound administrative backing from the Nigeria Football Federation. Onigbinde served on two different occasions – from 1983 to1984 and 2002, as interim coach Nigeria. He was first engaged to coach the Green Eagles in 1983 after Brazilian Otto Gloria was sacked following the team’s failure to qualify for the 1982 FIFA World Cup and also their inability to defend the AFCON title at the Libya 1982 edition. Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has been docked before Justice O. Abike-Fadipe of Lagos State Special Offences Court, Ikeja for alleged forgery. Fani-Kayode was charged before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a 12-count charge bordering on fraudulent use of false documents. According to the prosecution, Femi Fani-Kayode on October 11, 2021, in Lagos fraudulent representation procured one Dr Ogieva Oziegbe to execute a document titled: “MEDICAL REPORT ON Olufemi Fani Kayode 60 YEARS/MALE/HOSP. NO.00345” and purported same to have been issued by Kubwa General Hospital.
