Sanwo-Olu Approves Four Work-free Days For Workers To Register for PVC

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has approved 26th to 29th July as work-free days for workers in the State in a bid for them to register for or collect their Permanent Voters Cards before the exercise closes on July 30, 2022. This was contained in a statement issued by Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the State Head of Service, on Monday. According to the statement, workers are to resume work with their PVCs after the exercise. Tinubu Endorses Sanwo-Olu For Second Term

Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu will this weekend kick-off his declaration for a second term at the national convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja. COVID-19: Sanwo-Olu Goes into Self-Isolation

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has gone into self-isolation following the news of one of his close aides testing positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. According to a statement by the state Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, the unnamed aide was said to have tested positive, necessitating the governor to proceed on self-isolation. The governor and other members of his team will be tested by the Lagos State biobank but will remain in isolation until the results of the test are available. “This is not the first time the governor is having the COVID-19 test. He has had at least three since May when he announced that 10 of his aides had tested positive for the virus,” the commissioner stated.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu  of Lagos State on Friday  unveiled Nigeria’s first locally-assembled full electric car, aimed at reducing pressure on use of petroleum. The Hyundai Kona car, manufactured by Stallion Group, is 100 per cent electric and comes with zero emission, 482km driving range and can be charged both at home and workplace. The Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, on Tuesday, visited Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the State House in Marina. Adamu during the visit lamented the degree of the damage caused by hoodlums who hijacked the #EndSARS protests against police brutality last month. Briefing reporters, the IGP said he was in the state for an assessment of the police assets vandalised after the protest and to commiserate with residents.
