BREAKING: Seven Killed As Gunmen Attack Kaduna Community

Not less than seven people have died after gunmen stormed Ungwan Bido village in Jemaa Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday morning. Two children are also said to be missing after the attack. Samuel Aruwa, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, confirmed the story to ChannelsTV, stating that the attackers burnt down four houses. The attack follows the alleged killing of a Fulani herdsman, Isiyaka Saidu, of Ungwan Pah village on Saturday. Meanwhile, Governor Nasir El-Rufai said he had directed the State Emergency Management Agency to, as a matter of urgency, provide relief materials to citizens whose houses were burnt as well as those injured in the attack.   Source: SaharaReporters

Explosion Hits Wike Father’s Church, Police Nab Suspects

The Rivers State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has nabbed three suspects for allegedly detonating explosives at a church, located at Mile 3, Diobu area of Port Harcourt. The church, Christian Universal Church International is reported to be owned by the father of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike. The suspects numbering about five raided the church around 8 pm on Saturday, Punch reports. Local vigilante group in the area blockaded the gunmen’s escape route after noticing abnormal movements and interfered. One Feared Dead As Armed Robbers Attack Ondo Bank

Pandemonium ensued in Ode Irele town, the headquarters of Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State on Thursday when some armed robbers attacked a branch of Union Bank Plc in the town. According to an eyewitness, the bandits numbering nine stormed the bank about 4.10 pm and carted away money while one person was feared killed. The eyewitness said the robbers gained entrance into the bank, after using explosives suspected to be dynamite to blast the bullet-proof door and spent over 45 minutes on the operation. 138 NYSC Members Test Positive for COVID-19 —NCDC

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Monday  disclosed that a total of 138 members of the National Youth Service Corps have tested positive for COVID-19. Disclosing this during the briefing by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja, the NDDC Director-General, Chikwe Ihekweazu, said the safe reopening of the NYSC orientation camps across the country was successful. He stated that none of those who tested positive was allowed into the camps. The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice of Lagos State Moyosore Onigbanjo SAN has advised the courts to immediately release 253 persons arrested by the Police in connection with the #EndSARS protest in the state. Return to Duty Post or Risk Dismissal, PSC Warns Policemen Reluctant to Return to Post

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has sounded a note of warning to some officers of the force who are reluctant to return to their duty posts following the violence which erupted during the aftermath of the #EndSARS protest resulting in the killing of over 22 officers. The PSC while urging the officers to put the killing behind them, stated that Public Service Rules which also applies to officers of the Nigeria Police Force, stipulates dismissal for any officer that absconds from duty.
