Father Mbaka – Catholics Banned from Attending Adoration

Following the back lash that met Father Mbaka on his attack on Peter Obi, the Bishop of Enugu Diocese has directed that Catholics stay away from Mbaka's Adoration Ministry programs. According to the Bishop in the letter dated June 17 2022, the Bishop noted that the order will be in place until the conclusion of the canonical processes that the Diocese has put in place. Explaining why this step was necessary, the Bishop said "My decision is based on the fact that some of the teachings and utterances of Fr. Camillus Ejike Mbaka at the Catholic Adoration Ministry are not consistent with the teachings and faith of the Catholic Church." Over 40 people have been reportedly killed in an attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in Owo town, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State. It was learnt that the incident happened in the church, which is less than 200 meters away from the Palace of Olowo of Owo. Workers at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, confirmed that many people were brought in dead on Sunday. The attack was carried out during the Sunday mass, reports say. A viral online video showed some worshippers being killed and lying on the floor of the church in the pool of their own blood.
