2023 Election: Why I Met Peter Obi, Wike, Others – Ortom

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has explained why he met with Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, and others. According to Ortom, his presence at the meeting was informed by his open-minded approach to politics. He disclosed this on Tuesday while interacting with journalists after he returned from his trip to Rivers State capital, Port Harcourt. The All Progressives Congress, APC, has accused the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of sponsoring rumours to oust its National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu. Atiku vs Wike: Resign Now, PDP chieftain Tells Ayu

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sam Ohuabunwa, has asked the party’s national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, to resign from his position if it will help end the dispute between the party’s presidential candidate and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State. Ohuabunwa stated this during an interview with Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday. There have been reports that prior to his election, Ayu allegedly agreed to step down if the party elected a Northerner as its presidential candidate.
