2023 Election: Omokri Reveals Biggest Beneficiary Of Obi’s Ambition

Reno Omokri, a former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has said the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu stands to benefit the most from the presidential ambition of Labour Party, LP, candidate Peter Obi. Omokri stated this in a Facebook post on Wednesday, noting that Obi will probably get votes from core PDP states. He said the promoters of “Obedient” movement are blinded by emotions. Omokri wrote “the biggest beneficiary of Peter Obi’s Presidential race is Tinubu, not Obidients. Peter won’t affect APC’s votes. PDP Crisis: Wike Does Not Have Monopoly Over Rivers People

Sule Lamido, a former governor of Jigawa State, has asked the party to forget about appeasing Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State as he does not have a monopoly over rivers electorates. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been dealing with an internal crisis since the party concluded its presidential primary election in May. Recall that Wike lost the party’s presidential primary to Atiku Abubakar. INEC Clarifies Statement On Abandoning Electronic Transmission Of Results

The Independent National Electoral Committee, INEC, has debunked speculations that it has ditched the electronic transmission of results for the manual collation of results for the 2023 general election. There were reports that the electoral body had dumped the electronic transmission of results and adopted the manual process ahead of the general election next year. INEC Will Collate 2023 Election Results Manually – Okoye

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said that the results of the 2023 general elections will be collated manually despite the introduction of electronic transmission of results. According to Festus Okoye, INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of Information and Voter Education Committee, the commission would still transmit results from polling units to its result-viewing portal, IRev, as seen in recent polls but the Electoral Act has provision for the method of collation. Insecurity: Ondo Govt Offers N50k Reward To Residents

The Governor Rotimi Akeredolu administration has offered a N50,000 reward for any resident who offers useful information that will unmask the identity of kidnappers and other criminal elements in the State. Mrs. Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, stated this after the weekly State Executive Council meeting at the Governor's Office on Wednesday. She stated that the reward was meant to encourage residents to assist the government in its efforts to rid the State of criminals.
