ASUU Strike: Buhari Budgets N470bn For University Funding In 2023
President Muhammadu Buhari has proposed N470 billion for the funding of tertiary education in the 2023 budget.
This was disclosed by President Muhammadu Buhari during the budget presentation to a joint session of the National Assembly on Friday.

The fund is expected to address some of the demands of the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, such as the revitalization and salary increments.
According to Buhari, his administration noted “with dismay the crisis that has paralysed activities in the public universities in the country.”
