Ibrahim Yahaya, a transport worker in the Ebute Metta area of Lagos State has allegedly stabbed his colleague, Kabiru Abdullahi, to death during an argument that ensued at the Kanuri Motor Park. Yahaya and Kabiru were at the park when an argument ensued between them, Punch reports. The misunderstanding between the duo reportedly degenerated into a fight and in the process, Kabiru brought out a knife and allegedly stabbed Yahaya’s head. The Lagos State Government has mandated the closure of Chrisland International School pending the outcome of the investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of a pupil, identified as Whitney Adeniran, who died during the school’s inter-house sports at Agege stadium, in the Agege area of the state. Man Kills Brother Over N1,000 In Lagos

A man identified as Ibrahim Dauda, has reportedly killed his brother, Tunde, during a fight over N1,000 at their residence on Amusa street, off Community Road, in the Obadore area of Igando, Lagos State. According to Punch Metro, the brothers were at home when an argument involving N1,000 started between them. The argument culminated in the brothers engaging in fisticuffs, during which Ibrahim ran into the house and reached for an iron rod. Ibrahim allegedly hit Tunde’s forehead with the rod and the impact caused the 27-year-old to lose consciousness while he fell. A Justice Mojisola Dada Ikeja Special Offence Court on Tuesday condemned a 32-year-old vulcaniser, Chidozie Onyinchiz, to death by hanging for stealing N57,000 from a nurse. Justice Dada ruled that the prosecution had proved the charges of conspiracy, armed robbery, and membership of an unlawful society against the accused. The Justice also held that that the convict’s attempt to wriggle out of the charges was futile. Police Officer Shoots Lagos Lawyer Dead On Christmas Day

A policeman whose identity wasn't disclosed attached to the Lagos police command has shot dead a female lawyer identified as Bolanle Raheem. The incident reportedly took place on Sunday morning in the Ajah area of the State. Reports say the incident took place when the deceased and her family were on their way back from Christmas service. The car conveying them was stopped by some officers attached to the Ajiwe police station in Ajah. One of the officers reportedly shot at the car and the bullet hit the lawyer. Lagos Secures Approval For Second Airport

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has been issued a letter of approval by the Federal Government of Nigeria for the construction of another airport in Lekki area of the State. The approval was issued by Hadi Sirika, the Minister of Aviation on Tuesday at the Ehingbeti Lagos Economic Summit. The Minister was positive that the new airport will provide a better window and provide an avenue for improved international economic partnerships for Lagos State. Reports say the construction of the airport is expected to commence in 2023 and would be constructed on 3,500 hectares of land on the Lekki-Epe corridor.
