Wizkid, Beyonce Release Music Video of Afrobeats Hit, Brown Skin Girl (Watch Video)

The highly anticipated music video of Beyonye’s Afro beats hit track, featuring Nigerian musician Wizkid, ‘Brown Skin Girl’ has been released. The video of the song which celebrates the uniqueness of the black skin woman was released on Monday, 24 August. Daily Mail had reported in October 31, 2019 that shooting of the video had commenced. The report quoted Beyonce to have beckoned on black and brown people of different cultures, nationalities, ethnicities, genders and ages to come tell their stories. The track comes off the album, ‘The Lion King: The Gift’, which was released in 2019. It was directed by Nigerian, Jenn Nkiru who also played a role in Beyonce and Jaz Z’s 'Apesh*t' track in 2018. Northern Cyprus Unsafe for Education, Nigerian Government Alerts Parents

The Nigerian Government has flagged Northern Cyprus as unsafe for Nigerians seeking education abroad due to the continued and mysterious killing of blacks in the country, Sahara Reporters reports. The alarm was raised by Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa on Monday when she hosted a delegation led by Justice Amina Bello, mother of a Nigeria student, Ibrahim Khaleel, who lost his life in insoluble circumstances in Cyprus. FG Discloses Plans for Resumption of Tertiary Institutions

The Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, has said private universities are more prepared for resumption than government owned tertiary institutions. He disclosed this on Monday in Abuja during press briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19. Nwajiuba said government is yet to decide on a date for commencement of schools across the federation even though government talks are ongoing with relevant stakeholders in the education sector. Violent Clash in Enugu Claims Lives of ‘21’ IPOB Members, Two DSS Operatives (See Video)

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed that 21 of its members were killed in a violent clash with security operatives and 47 others arrested in Emene, Enugu State on Sunday. The Department of State Services (DSS) has also alleged that two of its operatives were killed by members of the IPOB. The claims were made by the IPOB and SSS in separate statements on Sunday. The clash  left residents of the neighborhood gripped with fear as armed police officers and soldiers were deployed to ensure normalcy returns to the area. Scores Dead as Plane Crashes in South Sudan

Scores of people are believed to have died in South Sudan after a cargo plane that took off from airport in Juba crashed. Eight people were on board the plane that belongs to South west Aviation which was heading to Northen Bahr el Ghazal state, Kur Kuol Director of Juba International Airport said. The state of health of President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew and close confidant, Mamman Daura has been confirmed by one of his sons, Mohammed who said his father is hale and hearty.
