LASPARK Warns Horticulturists to Keep Environment Clean

Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) has said horticulturists who have consistently failed at keeping their assigned open spaces clean and well-groomed would be disengaged by the Agency. Oyo Revokes Parcels of Land in Agodi, Jericho GRA over Alteration of Land Use, others

The government of Oyo State has approved the revocation of some plots of land located within the Agodi Government Reservation Area (GRA) and Jericho area of Ibadan. The revocation order, which was dated February 10, 2020, indicated that the affected plots of land were revoked for overriding public interest and for the use of the State Government. Lagos Commences Rapid Waste Recycling, as Sanwo-Olu Launches Initiative

Lagos State Government on Thursday introduced a new culture of waste disposal and management with the launch of Blue Box Initiative aimed at achieving greener city and wealth generation. The initiative was launched by the governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu at Simpson Transfer Loading Station on Lagos Island. Saying it is a component of the health and environmental regeneration agenda of his administration. Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the appointment of Princess Dolapo Fasawe as the General Manager of Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA). Fasawe, who is a seasoned medical practitioner, until her appointment, served as the Director in charge of Special Projects in the Lagos State Ministry of Health. Fasawe boasts of impressive track record of meritorious service to the State. She was one time the Coordinator of Eko Health Mission, an initiative of Lagos State Government through which thousands of residents at the grassroots and under-served areas of the State benefited from free healthcare services. Three-storey Building Collapses in Lagos

A three-storey has reportedly collapsed in the Ososa area of Bariga, Lagos State. The building collapsed around 9.30pm on Sunday. According to the Eye witness, six people had been rescued, and that many more might be trapped in the rubble. Residents said men of the Lagos State Fire Service were already on the ground, but were unable to gain entry yet, because the road to the scene is really bad. The operatives of the Lagos State Task Force Lagos State Taskforce on Wednesday ordered the removal of all illegal structures, Kiosks and the end to commercial activities along Badagry Expressway within seven days.
