Davido Considers Quitting Music

Nigerian singer, Davido, has taken to his verified Twitter page to state that he considers quitting music. This comes shortly after there were multiple online reports that he had a brawl with Burna Boy at a club, Hype, in Ghana. In his tweet, the FEM singer simply said, “I go leave this music for una.” So far both Burna Boy and Davido’s camp have kept mum over the alleged brawl at the club in Ghana despite videos that have surfaced online.

Rapper Big Lo Dies of Kidney Related Complications

Veteran Nigerian rapper, Lotanna Udezue, popularly known as Biglo has died after a long battle with kidney ailment. His death was announced on Instagram by singer Jazzman Olofin on Sunday. Olofin wrote, "Dear BIGLO, heard the sad news last night you passed away. You fought bravely all the way but GOD Almighty knows best. We'll keep the fire burning. Rest in peace, bro. 🙏🏾🙏🏾 FYI, BIGLO was a Nigerian music producer, rapper, and singer." Recall that Biglo revealed in 2019 that he was suffering from a kidney ailment. He revealed this through his Gofundme page where he said he was diagnosed with renal kidney failure in July 2018. Multiple award-winning popstar, Davido, has refuted claims that he snubbed Cynthia Morgan after he asked her to call him for a feature via his Twitter account. Morgan’s Public Relations manager, Muyiwa Babalola, had claimed she reached out to Davido through phone calls and WhatsApp messages but all to no avail. FG in Talks To Secure Omah Lay, Tems’ Release in Uganda

The Federal Government on Monday disclosed that efforts are being made to get detained Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems, freed in Uganda, says the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa. Both singers were arrested by the Uganda Police Force for flouting COVID-19 guidelines. They were arrested after their performances at The Big Brunch, which held at Speke Resort, Wavamunno Rd, Kampala, Uganda. Dabiri-Erewa made  this known in a tweet on Monday. “#FreeOmahLay #FreeTems . The Nigerian mission in Uganda is doing everything to get them freed. Minister @GeoffreyOnyeama has also been on the matter. @nidcom_gov is also in touch with their Lawyers,” she tweeted.
