2023: Buhari Lists Conditions APC Presidential Candidate Must Meet

President Muhammadu Buhari has charged governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure that the forthcoming convention is used to pick a presidential candidate that reflects all the values and virtues of the party. A former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso, has said a former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, might have become his running mate if the latter had joined the New Nigeria Peoples Party, instead of the Labour Party, after exiting the Peoples Democratic Party. A former first lady and wife of the immediate past government of Anambra state, Ebelechukwu Obiano, has won the Anambra North senatorial primary election of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). Mrs Obiano defeated her husband’s former Chief of Staff, Mr Primus Odili in a keenly contested primary election at the Ikpeazu Sports Stadium, Onitsha, on Sunday. An oil mogul, Dr Peter Mbah has emerged winner of the Enugu State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship primary election.
