Breaking: DSS Arrests Doyin Okupe At Airport

A chieftain of the Labour Party (LP), Doyin Okupe has been arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS). Okupe was arrested on Thursday in Lagos at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport. ‘I Respect Your Decision’ – Obi Reacts To Okupe’s Resignation

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, has accepted the resignation of Doyin Okupe – the Director General of his Campaign Organisation.   Recall that Okupe had on Tuesday resigned from his decision. His decision to resign followed the judgment by the Federal High Court in Abuja that found him guilty of going against the money laundering Act. Labour Party Voids Okupe’s Suspension

The leadership of the Labour Party, LP, has rubbished the expulsion of Doyin Okupe, the director-general of Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Council, over alleged non-financial membership status, political rascality and misappropriation of funds. The party described the expulsion as unconstitutional and maintained that he remains a bona fide member.   Okupe who recently decamped to the LP has been embroiled in a tussle with some stalwarts of the party, many of whom allege that he has a penchant for intolerance and financial impropriety.
